Walking along the beach alone..." poem by Elder Myster E

Walking along the beach alone
he began to pick up pebbles one by one
holding it pensively in his palm
he tied a torment to each
a recurring fear or regret
before tossing it in the sack on his back
then coming to the edge of a cliff
he cast the sack to the bottom of the sea
and as if for the first time
the horizon seemed clear ahead
the sky above without a cloud.
